Celebrating a new Santam

Santam has recently decided to be a 100% intermediary-driven brand and set off on a new strategic journey to make life safer and nicer for employees, brokers and clients. The new Santam is not about merely selling insurance anymore, but rather about selling a philosophy. We do not just look for solutions to problems, but look for ways to prevent them from occurring. We do not wait for negative situations to arise and then react, but work pro-actively to prevent them. We want insurance to be a positive lifestyle addition. It should not merely be a functional purchase, but an emotional experience.

The first step in differentiating Santam in the short-term insurance market is by offering leading and pro-active risk-management solutions. On 1 July we launched and started to explain this concept to South Africans. In addition it was demonstrated through a multimedia promotion, called "Extreme Risk Makeover" where twenty individuals stand the chance to win a risk makeover from Santam.

From mid-August, the second phase of the campaign will commence with various special offerings to clients to show them how Santam will help them to reduce their risks. To support Santam's new positioning throughout the year, safety tips and hints will frequently be published in the media.
