Rozendal Farm is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Stellenbosch at the gateway of the Jonkershoek valley. Our country inn consists of 16 guest cottages, situated between the vineyards overlooking Stellenbosch, and restaurant specialises in the freshest local ingredients. Since 1994 Rozendal is managed biologically with an environmental and health conscious approach, which ensures clean air, water and soil. In May 2001 we incorporated Biodynamic farming methods and have become members of the Biodynamic Agricultural Association.

We have a mixed farming operation including vegetables and animals (dairy cows and horses). All life is encouraged.

Our philosophy of food and health has culminated in these unique products.

Rozendal Vinegar - locally made balsamic style vinegars infused with herbs: Fynbos, Mixed Herb and Lavender. We use locally sourced products for packaging and our ingredients are 100% local. The natural vinegar fermentation is allowed to take place in small oak barrels and matured for a minimum of three years.

By allowing this process to take place in the presence of the vinegar "mother" a pure, stable, enlivened product is created with health enhancing properties.

Our vinegars are macerated with a selection of high-quality herbs chosen for both their medicinal and culinary properties.

Natural raw vinegar is suggested to balance the body's natural pH levels, by balancing the alkaline - acid level. The vinegar increases the body's ability to absorb the essential minerals locked in food. It is therefore recommended to use Rozendal Vinegar as an aperitif, for digestion and absorption of all the nutrients in your food, and to celebrate your health. Besides its wonderful health aspects, the vinegar can be enjoyed over salads, pickles, marinades, reductions; the uses are abundant!
